Hello there! We are Jane & Fredrik aka Sticks & Spoons; two Bon Vivants and Foodies from Sweden. Our professions are Waitress and Chef de Cuisine so expect a lot of Food and Drink on our site!

The name for our site and blog came up over a bowl of Phô! Jane (or Khanittha) is from Thailand and of course being a couple with the combined Restaurant experience we have; we cook and eat a lot of food at home. Fredrik do the most of the cooking - and as a Chef he is ridiculously fond of browned butter for instance (as well dishes you can eat with a spoon...). So while sitting eating this Phô (with Sticks and Spoons) Jane had some questions about ingredients and how the Phô was done- because obviously it was something there she hadn't experienced before.

And like a giant jigsaw puzzle all was falling in place! The name which became nicknames and a name for a blog, a restaurant idea, a concept: Asian Con Fusion or Asian Confusion as well as the name for our site and blog was born!

Ever since we got together as a couple we have been traveling and eating. We do a lot of shorter or longer weekends; most of the times we travel for food in the first place. We love to experience new cultures - and what is better then getting introduced to new places then over food? We can't think of a better way to get to know a new culture.

Before we became a couple we did a lot of travelling on our own. Together we have visited London, San Francisco, Amsterdam, Brussels, Warsaw, Berlin, Copenhagen, Bangkok, Buriram, Koh Chang, Koh Mak, Budapest, Nice, Paris up to date - and some destinations on our own or with friends like Madrid, Oslo and San Sebastian. We have many more cities and countries on our Bucket list so we are just getting started.

Fredrik do most of the writing. Writing in English is not a big problem - however; being a "beginner" of Food Writing and Travel Writing there's so much more to learn, to find an own style and writing more fluently. It's a never ending process so it will get better with time!
